User InterviewWe interviewed 9 users in different demographics and synthesized the information of those interviews.
Comparative AnalysisI created a comparative analysis amongst the top 8 applications out in the market. I was able to pinpoint the biggest downfalls and success of each application.
Participatory DesignI recruited a non Venmo user to test the new feature. This pointed us to the correct placement of this feature.
Through research and participatory design, I was able to identify the need for the app to remain simple and easy to use. We also learned where the new feature should go based on first timers usability testing and the intuitiveness and learnability of the application. The user went directly to the "pay/request" icon when instructed to donate to an organization.
